What is a benevélo ? Someone who loves bicycles, someone who likes organizing events, someone who wants to be engaged in People Pedal Power !

As a benevélo you can access the badges to be able to organize People Pedal Power events, like open-air cinéma projections, powering sound systems or anything you would like. Read further here below …

How to become a benevélo ? Join one of the events and get to know the Vélo M² project. We’ll be organizing regularly benevélo days. We will be learning together how to master the People Pedal Powered open-air cinéma and make a good set up.

You can receive a voluntary remuneration (vrijwilligersvergoeding) of 30€ when you help out on an event !

After this achievement you get a nice badge, an original way to spread the love of People Pedal Power 😉 Afterwards we share our enthusiasm for technology and get to know more in depth the technical side of the project.

You can join the mailinglist of the benevélos of Vélo M² ! This list is for sharing events, missions and interesting topics, in Dutch, French and English. You can join the list https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/benevelo

 

Badges* to achieve :

* These badges are validated in the OpenFab community.

cargo rider
You can drive a cargo bike that is charged with valuable materials in the traffic of Brussels.

• conditions
  You had a lesson on driving a cargo-bike by a skilled member of Vélo M².
  You can make a turn while charged on a crossroad in Brussels.
• level up
  You can’t level up unless you win the race of fête de la charge !

apprentice PPP
You can assist with the setup on a People Pedal Power event with Vélo M².

• conditions
  You got to know the PPP concept instructed at the OpenFab or following along at an event.
  You realized a PPP setup with the help of a skilled member of Vélo M².
  You know the safety instructions of the energy module.
  You know how to wire up the system.
  You know how to fix the bikes in the bike stands.
  You know the risks of the PPP setup.
• level up
  You can level up by realizing a PPP setup on you own initiative to become a master PPP !

master PPP
You can make a People Pedal Power setup together with a fellow master PPP. You can receive a voluntary remuneration (vrijwilligersvergoeding) of 30€ when you help out on an event !

You have access to the PPP system to organize your own event when you helped organizing two fully compensated events.

• conditions
  You have the badge of apprentice PPP.
  You realized a PPP setup independently with assistance of a skilled Vélo M² member.
  You know the safety instructions of the energy module.
  You know how to wire up the system.
  You know how to fix the bikes in the bike stands.
  You know the risks of the PPP setup.
  You agree on the values, mission and vision of Vélo M².
• level up
  You can’t level up unless you make your own PPP device !
